The Portrait
Collection

Every Seven Scots portrait is an original artistic interpretation of the individuals who shaped our world - crafted exclusively for the brand to reflect their character, achievements and enduring legacy.

Why the Collection Was Commissioned

Seven Scots was founded on a simple conviction: that the character of Scotland's greatest minds deserves to be honoured with the same care as the water itself. Rather than borrowing familiar historical images, we chose to commission an entirely original collection.

Each figure was selected for the way their life echoes a quality we hold dear - clarity, rigour, curiosity, and an enduring respect for the natural world. The portraits were commissioned to give these values a face, and to let each bottle carry a story worth pausing over.

From Research to Final Artwork

Every portrait began with study - reading the lives, letters and legacies of each Scot, and gathering the visual details that made them distinct. From this research, our artistic direction established a single, cohesive style: dignified, painterly, and unmistakably heritage.

Through a careful creative process combining artistic direction, illustration and professional graphic design, each likeness was developed, refined and finished by hand. The result is a collection that feels drawn from the same studio, the same era, and the same guiding sensibility.

A Commitment to Originality

Every image in the collection is an original interpretive work, created exclusively for Seven Scots. Nothing is copied; each portrait is composed anew, reflecting our respect both for the individuals depicted and for the craft of those who create.

This is provenance in the truest sense - a clear and honest account of how each artwork came to be, from first research to the finished label. It is the same principle that guides the water: nothing borrowed, nothing imitated, everything made with intent.

Made with Intent

A collection created to endure, honouring the Scots who changed the world.
