Why the Collection Was Created

Seven Scots was founded on a simple conviction: that the character of Scotland's greatest minds deserves to be honoured with the same care as the water itself. Rather than borrowing familiar historical images, we chose to create a new collection.

Each figure was selected for the way their life echoes a quality we hold dear - clarity, rigour, curiosity, and an enduring respect for the natural world. The portraits were created to give these values a face, and to let each bottle carry a story worth pausing over.

From Research to Final Artwork

Every portrait began with study - reading the lives, letters and legacies of each Scot, and gathering the visual details that made them distinct. From this research, our artistic direction established a single, cohesive style: dignified, painterly, and unmistakably heritage.

Through a careful creative process combining artistic direction, AI-assisted illustration and professional graphic design, each likeness was developed and refined for the collection. The result is a collection that feels drawn from the same studio, the same era, and the same guiding sensibility.
